We don’t do much in shared windows hosting but when we acquired GiftGallery earlier this year we inherited the shared hosting arrangements with Hosting 365 – now register365 aka namesco – but still hosted by hosting365 . The site was down for a couple of hours yesterday and we have asked for explanations but not as yet received any. This is the second time in a month and last time it was some sort of attack on another site in the windows cluster. We are moving the live site over to Blacknight where we have the latest version in development as soon as possible.

Our apologies to all merchants but this is totally outside our control.  Apparently (and we only learned this recently) this happened last year at this time too… We hope to be moved to Blacknight by next week.

So if you experienced outages on the same servers the outage period looks something like this. If anyone has managed to get a report from Namesco or Hosting 365 share it here!

Another Black Friday for Hosting 365

On Friday 5th December at around 13.30 GMT our primary hosting supplier Hosting 365 had a serious power issue in their data centre. This is the third such incident in the past year and affected a wide spectrum of websites and email accounts throughout Ireland.

Our 600 plus SitesToGo websites were unaffected but emails remained disrupted for many clients until the early hours of Saturday morning. InternetLAB sites on shared Microsoft servers were down for around 3 hours.

We have since the last outages been in the process of moving all domain management email accounts out of the Hosting 365 data centre into a supplier with a better uptime record. We shall now accelerate this process.

This blog has been established independently of both our hosting suppliers so we can update clients in the event of further outages
